Part 1 — Touch Screen
Built-in HMI — no separate panel PC
The operator interface is a web app the unit serves itself — built with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, the same stack as a modern website. Anything a web page can do, this HMI can do.
- Built in HTML / CSS / JS — custom graphics, live charts, animations, and multi-touch gestures
- Runs in any browser — drive it from the built-in screen and any phone, tablet, or PC on the network, nothing to install
- Mobile-responsive: one UI auto-fits the panel, a floor tablet, or a phone
- No proprietary HMI license (vs PanelView / WinCC vendor runtimes)
- Remote access to live data, trends, alarms, and setpoints from anywhere on the network
- Streams over open protocols (MQTT, OPC UA, WebSocket) for SCADA, IIoT, and cloud dashboards

Part 2 — ADKO Carrier Board
Industrial I/O around the CM5
With the display removed, the ADKO carrier board shows the plant-facing connections. Because it is designed in-house, it carries exactly the I/O your machine needs on one PCB — no stacked HATs or adapter boards.
- Purpose-built PCB — only the connectors the application needs, with tailored isolation and protection
- Dual Ethernet — IT/OT separation, ring redundancy, or two networks at once
- RS485 — Modbus RTU for VFDs, meters, and serial field devices
- 24 VDC input — standard panel power on screw terminals, no wall adapters
- Full CM5 GPIO / SPI / I²C / UART breakout for custom I/O expansion
- One board means less wiring, fewer connectors, and fewer failure points
Part 3 — Compute Module 5
PLC-class logic, open platform
The CM5 runs your control logic, communication stacks, and the HMI on one chip. It behaves like a PLC when you want one — and like a full Linux computer when you need more.
- Runs real PLC runtimes — CODESYS or OpenPLC, programmed in IEC 61131-3 ladder, function block, and structured text
- Modbus TCP / RTU and industrial protocols out of the box
- Also a full Linux PC: Python, Node.js, Node-RED, databases, and edge AI on the same device
- Quad-core Cortex-A76 @ 2.4 GHz, up to 16 GB ECC RAM, fast eMMC — headroom for logic + HMI + comms together
- Industrial-grade: −20 °C to +85 °C operation, in production to at least 2036
- Open platform — over-the-air updates, remote diagnostics, no vendor lock-in
